Is Piastri’s title challenge falling apart?
Lando Norris is back on top of the F1 championship after a strong win in Mexico, putting him one point ahead of his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri with four races left. Piastri has been struggling in recent races and says he doesn’t know why he’s slower than Norris. Max Verstappen could still fight back in Brazil, a track where he has won the last two races. Lewis Hamilton wants to recover from his Mexico penalty, while Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull are fighting closely for second place in the team standings.

Christopher Bell has earned the most points in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs but is not eligible to compete for the championship. Bahrain BoP favors Ferrari in title decider
The Balance of Performance for the Bahrain 8 Hours is out ahead of the WEC finale, where Ferrari, Porsche, and Cadillac will fight for the title. Cadillac loses the most, with 24kW less power and 4kg more weight, while Porsche also drops in performance, and Ferrari gets a small boost. Compared to last year, Ferrari looks the least affected and may now be the favorite to win, while Porsche has the heaviest and weakest car. Even with its upgrades, Porsche is not expected to gain much in Bahrain, where Toyota won last year.

Keselowski considers launching IMSA Hypercar team
Brad Keselowski says he has no plans to leave full-time NASCAR driving, even as he shows interest in leading an IMSA Hypercar team if Ford launches its 2027 program in the U.S. He stressed that the Cup Series remains his main focus and not an “off-ramp” for his career. Despite RFK Racing expanding to three cars this season, Keselowski and his teammates struggled with consistency and missed the playoffs. He ruled out owning an Xfinity or Truck team soon but said he would like to own Ford’s Hypercar team once it begins competing.

Sainz wants F1 to rethink Sprint weekends
Carlos Sainz believes Formula 1 should make bold changes to Sprint weekends to make them more exciting. He suggested mandating soft tires for Sprint races, arguing it would add unpredictability and reduce the similarity to Sunday’s opening stint. Sainz also said F1 should not be afraid to try new ideas, including reversed grids or alternate qualifying formats like a “superpole” session. While he admitted he isn’t a big fan of reversed grids, he urged F1 to keep experimenting and adjust the format whenever necessary.
