Is Antonelli running out of time to deliver?

Formula 1 heads to Baku this weekend, where McLaren could secure the constructors’ title if they score well against Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has grown frustrated with rookie Kimi Antonelli after recent mistakes, saying the young driver needs a “clean weekend” to rebuild his confidence and show his true talent. Ford CEO Jim Farley explained their 2026 partnership with Red Bull, saying the hybrid rules made it the right moment to return, and admitted the company had concerns over Christian Horner’s past controversy but now sees the team as stable. Alpine is still deciding on its second driver for next season, while fans also asked questions about the racing line.

NASCAR faces backlash for editing Charlie Kirk tribute clip

Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 and later died at the hospital. The NFL and some college football coaches honored him with moments of silence, while NASCAR also paid tribute with car decals, a flyover, and comments from drivers like Austin Dillon and Christopher Bell. Bell even dedicated his win at Bristol to Kirk, saying, “This one’s for Charlie!” after the race. However, NASCAR drew backlash after posting a video of Bell’s post-race speech but editing out his dedication of the win to Kirk. Many fans criticized the decision, accusing NASCAR of censoring conservative voices and demanding that Kirk’s name be acknowledged.

How Indycar blew a golden story

Alex Palou won the 2025 IndyCar title early after dominating most of the season, but the oval championship with Pato O’Ward stayed close until the last race. O’Ward was in a good position to win at Nashville, but a tire failure made him crash, giving the oval title to Palou. Even though this was a big fight between the series champion and one of its most popular drivers, IndyCar hardly talked about it. Palou was still happy to take his first oval championship, which included an Indy 500 win and other strong results.

What’s gone wrong for Sainz at Williams?

Carlos Sainz’s first season with Williams has not gone as hoped, as he has scored only 16 points while his teammate Alex Albon has 70. His year has been hurt by mistakes, penalties, tire problems, car issues, and some bad luck that ruined many races. Still, he has shown good speed at times, like in Jeddah and Imola, proving he can be quick. The real problem is being consistent, and with Albon performing so well, Sainz has a tough challenge ahead.

How Harvey moved from IndyCar to FOX Sports

Jack Harvey had a great rookie season in IndyCar in 2025, but he worked as a FOX Sports pit reporter instead of racing. After losing a full-time ride, he asked for the job and learned on the spot with no training, while still preparing for the Indianapolis 500. He quickly got used to live TV, gaining trust from drivers and teammates and learning to handle interviews, earpiece instructions, and the busy pit lane. By the end of the season, he gave himself a B-plus, proud of what he had done but knowing he could still improve.
