With some concerns over the Pirelli Tyres, the drivers were given a 10 minute warm up session before the Shootout. SQ1 had people on the edge of their seat as many drivers were being pushed into the elimination zone due to exceeding track limits. After a deleted track time, Logan Sargeant ended up in 20th with his teammate, Alex Albon, only being able to put his Williams in 17th. A frustrated Yuki Tsunoda qualified in 18th, right ahead of Kevin Magnussen. SQ2 proved to be difficult for many drivers. Lewis Hamilton was a shock knock out as he was only able to put his Mercedes in 12th position, right ahead of his former teammate, Valtteri Bottas. Liam Lawson couldn't do any better than 14th today and Pierre Gasly just missed the top ten to come in 11th. SQ3 had many shake ups! Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso were unable to produce a valid time putting them in 9th and 10th position. Nico Hülkenberg had an impressive qualifying, putting his Haas in 7th place. Max Verstappen was only able to put his Red Bull in 3rd, right behind the McLaren of Lando Norris. Oscar Piastri had a stunning qualifying to take pole position for the Sprint Race!
