Winners and losers from São Paulo GP
The Brazilian Grand Prix was full of surprises, as some drivers did very well and others had a bad day. Lando Norris increased his championship lead, and Max Verstappen managed to end third despite a pit lane start. Ferrari, Aston Martin, Williams, Yuki Tsunoda, and Oscar Piastri had tough races. Kimi Antonelli did very well, and Racing Bulls earned good points in seventh and eighth place.

Suarez criticizes NASCAR cup driver rules
Kyle Larson and Daniel Suarez believe NASCAR’s rules that limit Cup drivers in lower series hurt young drivers’ growth. Larson showed the gap in skill at Bristol and said Cup drivers should compete more to raise the level. Suarez agreed it helped him improve faster when he went against Cup stars. NASCAR will change the rules in 2026 to let more Cup drivers join lower series to help young talent develop.

Da Costa tops Bahrain rookie test
Antonio Felix da Costa was the fastest driver at the Bahrain rookie test in his first run for Alpine, with a time of 1m49.214s in the #36 car. He was just ahead of Alpine’s Frederic Makowiecki, while Nick Cassidy from Peugeot finished third. Ferrari’s Lilou Wadoux did well to take fifth place as she continues in the Hypercar class. In the GT3 class, Hadrien David led the times in his Lexus, even after his team caused a red flag earlier when one of their cars caught fire.

NASCAR confirms new 2026 playoff format
NASCAR will use a new playoff system in 2026 because the old one was unfair. Before, one mistake or accident in a single race could cost a driver the championship, like what happened to Denny Hamlin at Phoenix. The new system will reward drivers who do well all season and give more drivers a chance to win. The goal is to make the championship fairer for fans.

Juncadella fined for misconduct in WEC finale
Corvette driver Dani Juncadella was fined €5,000 for his middle finger to BMW’s Augusto Farfus in the Bahrain WEC race. The gesture happened after the two made contact for fifth place in LMGT3, and the stewards said it was “rude and inappropriate.” Juncadella had to pay €1,000 immediately, with €4,000 suspended. He finished sixth in the #33 Corvette.
