Wolff to sell 5% stake in £4.6bn Mercedes team

Toto Wolff is in talks to sell about 5% of his shares in the Mercedes Formula 1 team, which would leave him with around 28% ownership. He would still stay on as team principal and CEO after the sale. The deal values the Mercedes team at £4.6 billion, much higher than when INEOS bought its share for £208 million in 2022. Mercedes said the team’s management will stay the same, and all three partners remain committed to its success.

NASCAR lifts limits on cup drivers in lower series

Kyle Busch won so many races in NASCAR’s lower series that a rule limited how many races top drivers could enter. He has 102 Xfinity wins, 67 Truck wins, and 63 Cup wins, and he is the most successful driver in NASCAR history. In 2026, Cup drivers can enter up to 10 Xfinity races and 8 Truck races, twice as many as before. This gives experienced drivers more chances to race while younger drivers face the stars.
