Mercedes explains split tire strategy in Brazil

Kimi Antonelli skipped the Medium tire at the São Paulo GP to have fresh tires for the race. He got second place behind Lando Norris and wants to go for his first F1 win. Antonelli aims for a strong start to get ahead. He thinks using new Soft tires in the race will give him a better chance.

Retzlaff to join Viking Motorsports

Retzlaff will drive the No. 99 Chevrolet for Viking Motorsports in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. He leaves Alpha Prime Racing after a good 2025 season and came second at Rockingham. The 22-year-old has raced over 100 NASCAR races with many top-five and top-ten results. Viking Motorsports also added crew chief Danny Efland to help the team.

Ferrari wins WEC title in Bahrain

Toyota won its first race of 2025 in Bahrain as Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Nyck de Vries led the No. 7 car. Ferrari’s No. 51 team finished fourth but still won both the driver and team championships. It was Ferrari’s first big title since 1972. Toyota took the top two spots, and Ferrari came next in third and fourth.

NASCAR to test 750HP at Bristol

NASCAR will try its new 2026 rules at Bristol Motor Speedway next week. The cars will have more power, 750hp, on short tracks under 1 mile. Teams like RFK Racing will run the cars for two days to test the tires. The test will show how the stronger engines work on the track.

Verstappen handed São Paulo GP grid penalty

Max Verstappen will start the São Paulo Grand Prix from the pit lane because Red Bull changed his car. They made adjustments after he qualified 16th. The FIA will confirm this soon. His teammate Yuki Tsunoda will start 19th on the grid.
