McLaren struggles on 'worst Friday' in Montreal
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri had a tough start to the Canadian GP weekend, and Norris said it was McLaren’s worst Friday of the year. Norris struggled to find consistency and said the car was difficult to drive, while Piastri also faced challenges but improved from the first to the second practice. McLaren brought new front wing upgrades to improve performance, but Norris said they might consider switching back if the parts don’t work well. Both drivers agree there’s work to do to make the car easier to handle and find more speed for qualifying.

FIA suspend Warwick over unauthorized media comments
Former F1 driver Derek Warwick was suspended from his steward role at the Canadian Grand Prix after making unauthorized public comments defending a penalty against Max Verstappen. The FIA replaced him with Enrique Bernoldi, who will work remotely for the rest of the event. Warwick admitted his comments were inappropriate for his steward position and apologized but plans to return at the Austrian Grand Prix. This is not the first time the FIA has punished a steward for talking about races, and some people are concerned about how the FIA is being run under President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

Vasseur hits out at Italian media
Fred Vasseur says constant speculation about his future as Ferrari team boss is hurting the team's progress and affecting staff morale. Despite sitting second in the Constructors' Championship, Ferrari is 197 points behind McLaren and has struggled through the first nine races. Vasseur blasted the media for pushing replacement rumors, saying it creates fear among team members who think they might lose their jobs. He says the team needs time and a calm environment to succeed, just like when Jean Todt helped Ferrari win in the past.
