Will Mercedes' suspension upgrade pass the Austria test?
Mercedes reintroduced its new rear suspension in Canada after skipping it in Monaco and Spain to gather comparison data following a disappointing debut at Imola. Although the cool-down in Monaco and Spain helped collect comparison data, Mercedes felt confident enough to reuse the suspension in Montreal, where both George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished strongly. Team boss Toto Wolff admitted there's no clear proof the update caused the earlier struggles but believes the development is moving in the right direction. With Austria's high track temperatures expected, the real test now is whether the revised geometry can keep rear tire temperatures stable through the Red Bull Ring's demanding corners.

Philly in talks to host NASCAR race
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed that the state is in discussions about bringing a NASCAR race to Philadelphia, possibly at Franklin Field. While attending the sold-out Pocono Cup Series Race, he stressed that any new event would not replace or undermine Pocono, which had over 50,000 attendees for the third straight year. NASCAR President Steve O'Donnell mentioned Franklin Field as a potential venue due to its Olympic-sized layout, similar to what was done at the LA Coliseum. Although plans are still early, both Shapiro and O'Donnell support expanding NASCAR's presence in urban areas with strong racing fan bases like Pennsylvania.

Winners and losers from Road America
Road America delivered one of the wildest IndyCar races in recent memory, filled with chaos, multiple strategies, and non-stop wheel-to-wheel action. Pato O’Ward and Kyle Kirkwood both saw their title hopes take a hit; O’Ward had his worst finish of the year after early pit strategy backfired, while Kirkwood finished fourth but couldn’t stop Palou’s relentless charge. AJ Foyt Racing continued its strong form, with Ferrucci and Malukas both finishing in the top 10. Penske struggled badly, Newgarden crashed, Power spun, and McLaughlin faded despite starting strong. Palou stayed calm through the chaos, saved fuel well, and took another strong win to grow his championship lead.

What’s next for Rossi after Le Mans?
Valentino Rossi's #46 WRT BMW showed strong potential for a class win at Le Mans after strong performances in qualifying, but an electrical issue ended their hopes mid-race. Despite the setback, Rossi held his own in the car, and there's no doubt he could contend for a win in the future. Rossi has also shown interest in moving up to the Hypercar class, where he feels more comfortable and where BMW sees promise in his performance, though age and experience remain challenges. While he's still enjoying racing with less pressure than in MotoGP, it's unclear if the Le Mans setback will push him to try again or signal a shift in his racing path.
