After a relaxing break, the F1 season rolls into Belgium for a Sprint weekend. The title fight between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri continues to heat up while Max Verstappen looks to silence the noise about his potential move to Mercedes in 2026. Many chips stand out for this week, Verstappen has a trick up his sleeve, and breaking news was just announced about the British Grand Prix. Strap in as we unpack all of the fantasy news you need ahead of the thirteenth race of the 2025 season.
British GP Scores Updated
As first reported by F1 Fantasy Tools, F1 Fantasy updated the scores of 8 drivers more than two weeks after the checkered flag waved. Only overtake totals were impacted and none of the changes impacted prices. F1 Fantasy uses telemetry to ascertain the number of overtakes and on at least one occasion in 2024 (Mexico) the game retroactively corrected overtake totals when the telemetry provided incorrect results.
Here are the impacted drivers and the changes to their overtake totals:
ANT: 9 to 0
STR: 12 to 6
OCO: 6 to 3
HUL: 7 to 4
ALB: 5 to 3
BEA: 6 to 4
RUS: 8 to 6
ALO: 3 to 2
A Bold Prediction About Max Verstappen
.png)
The Fantasy Formula has been tracking the pattern of Max Verstappen's engine penalty timing for nearly three seasons. In 2022, 2023, and 2024 the reigning World Champion has taken an engine penalty at Spa. Four out of the last five times Verstappen took an engine penalty he triumphantly won the Grand Prix, including his record-setting performance at Interlagos last season. The only time Verstappen failed to win, the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix, Verstappen still reached P4 and scored a respectable 35 fantasy points.
Verstappen appears to prefer starting from the middle of the pack at Spa and has an opportunity to take his fourth straight Belgian Grand Prix engine penalty this weekend. He sits at the limit for Control Electronics and Energy Stores and faces a 10-place grid penalty for taking his first extra engine parts. Verstappen needs at least 72 points to avoid a price drop, so he makes more sense as a Final Fix option, but Max provides a high-upside differential in the Grand Prix if he extends his streak of taking engine penalties at Spa.
Weather Outlook

The early forecast calls for rain throughout race week and drying up by Sunday morning. Any shift in this weather pattern could leave us with three days of rain and would be an ideal opportunity for the No Negative chip. Let's also remember the drivers that excelled earlier this year in wet conditions: Verstappen, Alonso, Hulkenberg, and Stroll.
Betting Lines

Lando Norris's home win at Silverstone propels him to even odds with his teammate and championship leader, Oscar Piastri, to start the week. This news may excite those players interested in using the Extra DRS Boost on Lando and Oscar this weekend. Max Verstappen historically performs well at Spa and his opening line reflects some optimism from these sportsbooks.
Kimi Antonelli's recent struggles drop the rookie well behind Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell. Perhaps the "4 Premium Assets" approach with Piastri-Russell-McLaren-Mercedes isn't quite ready for prime time yet. Rounding out the top 10 we have a Nico Hulkenberg sighting! He was a lock this week for his price gain potential already but did anyone imagine a Sauber would regularly contend for points this season?
