Rumors start of Horner being sacked from Red Bull
Red Bull might fire team boss Christian Horner, and they are already thinking about who could take his place. Even though Horner has helped Red Bull win many championships, the team has only won one race this season. Some important people in the team, like Max Verstappen and Helmut Marko, are not happy with the car. Red Bull may make a decision after the next race in Italy, with names like Oliver Oakes and Franz Tost being considered.

Why cars have gained so much weight
Formula 1 cars are much heavier now than they were 75 years ago, going from about 650kg to 800kg. A big part of the extra weight comes from hybrid engines, safety parts, and more complex designs. Safety features are important and won’t be removed, but other parts that add weight are harder to change because they help the cars go faster. With new rules planned for 2026, some experts aren’t sure if even a small weight cut will be possible unless teams give up some performance.

Wolff to miss Imola weekend for son’s graduation
Toto Wolff will miss the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix because he will attend his son’s graduation in the United States. This is the second race he will miss this season, after also missing the Japanese Grand Prix. Mercedes’ communications chief, Bradley Lord, will take over some of Wolff’s work during the race weekend. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli had a strong result in Miami, and Mercedes is in second place in the team competition.
