Adrian Newey is Aston Martin team principal and will lead the technical team and car performance. His job does not cover media, sponsor work, or HR, so he can focus on the car and design. Christian Horner may join Aston Martin in a top role to handle management and commercial work. The team also hired former Red Bull executive Paul Field as COO to help build a strong leadership structure.

ROCKWOOL extends Denmark SailGP team deal

ROCKWOOL has renewed its deal with the Denmark SailGP Team until 2032, the longest team deal in the series. The company has helped young Danish foil talent and pushed SailGP growth across many countries. The team set a sail speed record of 103.93 km/h and hosted major events that drew thousands of guests. In 2026, ROCKWOOL will host another SailGP event in Germany as the team heads to the Abu Dhabi Grand Final.

Carmen Jorda returns with new Alpine role

Carmen Jorda is going back to Alpine to help guide young female drivers in 2026. The team picked her after a new deal with Qatar Airways, and she will support the driver Alpine chooses for the Academy. Her return comes after a past time at Enstone that caused talks and doubts because she had no strong results in junior races. Jorda will also take part in fan events and work for Qatar Airways through the team.

Burling set to race in Abu Dhabi after injury

Peter Burling, Black Foils’ skipper, hurt a finger in practice but has been cleared to race in the Abu Dhabi Grand Final. He will take part in today’s practice sessions and races. Backup driver Liv Mackay said the extra time on the helm helped her learn more about Burling’s role. She added that the injury tested the team, but strong teamwork and leadership helped the team work together and grow.
