Alpine fined €5000 for tire breach

Alpine F1 was fined €5,000 because they didn’t record Franco Colapinto’s tires correctly at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Colapinto, who replaced Jack Doohan, qualified 15th in wet conditions while his teammate Pierre Gasly reached Q3. F1 rules say teams must tell the FIA when they hand back tires after a wet session, and Alpine didn’t do this properly. Other teams, like Mercedes and Williams, had checks too, but they didn’t get fined.

The terms of their settlement are private, and the dismissal also cancels the trial that was planned for January 2026. Legacy’s separate lawsuit, which alleges that T.J. Puchyr pushed Rick Ware Racing to break the deal, is still in Charlotte court.
