Alpine plans to drop Doohan for Imola
Alpine told Jack Doohan after the Miami Grand Prix that he will be replaced at the next race in Imola. The team had been thinking about using Franco Colapinto even before Doohan started racing, and they signed Colapinto in January. Doohan has shown some speed, but he’s had crashes, made mistakes, and hasn’t scored any points in six races. Colapinto is expected to take his place, but Alpine hasn’t said anything officially, and Doohan will still be part of the team for now.

IndyCar winners and losers at Barber
Alex Palou won again at Barber Motorsports Park and is in a strong position for a fourth straight IndyCar championship. Rinus VeeKay finished fourth, the best result of the season for both him and Dale Coyne Racing in two years. Team Penske’s drivers McLaughlin, Power, and Newgarden all finished in the top ten for the first time this season, with McLaughlin in third place. With no cautions for three races and few on-track incidents, some are questioning whether changes to tire rules or strategy are needed to make the races more competitive.

Ferrari needs to fix the SF25's limitations
Ferrari had a tough weekend at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, and team boss Fred Vasseur said they need to fix the car's problems. They struggled with speed in qualifying, and, while their race pace was better, it wasn't enough for top positions. Lewis Hamilton started 12th, passed Esteban Ocon, and gained time with a virtual safety car, while Charles Leclerc got stuck behind Sainz and Albon before Ferrari let Hamilton pass. Vasseur defended the team's strategy but said they need to keep working on improving the car.

Hadjar laments last-lap error
Isack Hadjar believed he could have beaten Yuki Tsunoda for the final point in the Miami Grand Prix but made several mistakes in the final lap. Tsunoda received a five-second penalty for a pit lane speed limit violation. Hadjar closed within five seconds of Tsunoda at times but fell too far behind on the last lap. Tsunoda said the final laps were difficult as Hadjar applied pressure, and admitted the team lacked pace throughout the race.
