Schumacher confirms 2026 IndyCar move with RLL
Mick Schumacher will compete full-time for Rahal Letterman Lanigan in IndyCar in 2026 after two years in endurance. He tried the car at Indianapolis and said he is excited about IndyCar’s simple and fast style. Schumacher will start his first event at St. Petersburg. The team said he did very well at Indianapolis and they are happy to have him.

Why McLaren couldn’t save Norris from Vegas DSQ
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were disqualified from the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix because the bottom of their cars was too thin. McLaren said the track and limited practice caused the problem, but the FIA checked and rejected their excuse. This hurt McLaren and helped Max Verstappen in the championship. The team now needs to figure out why the car wore down so fast, but it will be hard to cancel the disqualification.

How NASCAR’s team charter system works
The NASCAR Cup Series has had the charter system for 10 years, and 2025 is the first year of the new updated agreement. This new season also started with a lawsuit because two race teams say NASCAR used unfair power in the charter negotiations. Charters are like team licenses that guarantee a spot in races and give teams a share of TV money, and teams can sell or lease them. There are 36 charters, each with its own history, and while the system helps teams have more value and stability, it has also caused disagreements about sales, ownership, and NASCAR’s control.

Bortoleto handed five place grid penalty for Qatar
Gabriel Bortoleto caused a crash at the start of the Las Vegas GP when he braked too late and hit Lance Stroll, which also involved Pierre Gasly. Both Bortoleto and Stroll had to retire from the race. The FIA gave him a five-place grid penalty for the next race in Qatar and two points on his licence. Bortoleto admitted his mistake and will start in a tough position for the penultimate race of the 2025 season.

NASCAR driver finds new team for 2026
Christian Eckes will return to the Truck Series in 2026 with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the No. 91 Chevrolet. Kaulig Racing will exit the Xfinity Series, so both Eckes and Daniel Dye needed new seats. Dye will join Kaulig’s Ram Trucks full-time, while Eckes returns to a team where he had his best results. In 2025, Eckes finished 13th in Xfinity with six top-five finishes and nine other top-10s.
