Pirelli drops C6 tire ahead of 2026 overhaul

Pirelli will no longer use the C6, the softest and grippiest F1 tire, for 2026. The C6 was meant to add variety but broke too easily and was too similar in speed to the C5. Next year, F1 will use five tires, C1 to C5, with clear differences in performance for better race strategies. Teams will test the new tires after the Abu Dhabi GP, and Pirelli thinks this change will let teams try bolder and more varied strategies.

Crews set for 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly debut

Brent Crews will race the No. 19 car for Joe Gibbs Racing in 29 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races in 2026. Since he’s 17, he can’t race on big oval tracks, so he will start at the COTA road course and go full-time after March 30. He won four of nine ARCA Menards Series races in 2025, and Seth Chavka will be his crew chief. JGR is excited about his success and thinks he will be a top driver in the series.

Blueberry partners with SailGP champions Flying Roos

Blueberry has signed a long-term deal with the Bonds Flying Roos, Australia’s three-time SailGP champions. The partnership puts Blueberry’s name on the team’s F50 race boat and their digital platforms, and it also gives Blueberry customers special access to SailGP events. This is Blueberry’s first big step into sports and helps the company grow worldwide through SailGP’s 12-race series across 11 countries. The partnership will begin at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix as Blueberry continues to expand with new platforms and a fresh brand look.

Toyota upgrades GR010 Hypercar for WEC 2026

Toyota develops a new version of the GR010 Hybrid for the 2026 World Endurance Championship after a tough 2025 season where Ferrari dominates. The GR010, launched in 2021, becomes the oldest car in the Hypercar class and shows its age. Focus shifts to aerodynamics and drivability, with early tests producing positive results. Despite challenges in 2025, Toyota expects the changes to improve performance under the WEC’s rules for 2026.

Schumacher prepares for IndyCar testing

Mick Schumacher will join IndyCar next season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. He has experience in Formula 1 and WEC but needs to learn oval tracks and other IndyCar differences. The team has planned tests on oval tracks, road courses, and a street course at Sebring. Schumacher's first IndyCar event will be in St. Petersburg from February 27 to March 1.
