How Audi transformed Sauber ahead of debut

Audi started taking over Sauber in 2022. Now, less than six months before Audi’s first F1 car hits the track, the team is doing much better after a slow start. New leaders Jonathan Wheatley and Mattia Binotto helped the team improve, and Sauber even got a podium finish at Silverstone. Wheatley wants to respect Sauber’s history while building a strong, steady team and fixing the old facilities. Even though there are still challenges, especially with the engine, Audi hopes to win races and championships by the end of the decade.

Zilisch recovering after celebration injury

NASCAR driver Connor Zilisch broke his collarbone after slipping and falling while climbing onto his car’s roof to celebrate his Xfinity Series win at Watkins Glen. He was taken to the hospital and is “doing OK” but will miss Sunday’s Cup Series race after his team withdrew his car. Zilisch led 60 of 82 laps to win his second straight and seventh career Xfinity race, though it’s unclear if he will race next at Daytona. The 19-year-old from Charlotte also races full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series.

Will Power’s IndyCar future hangs in the balance

Will Power’s future in IndyCar is unsure because he does not have a contract for 2026 yet, even though he ended Penske’s long losing streak and is their best driver this year. He says he is driving better and faster than ever but has had bad luck with crashes and car problems. Penske is thinking about other drivers like David Malukas, but many believe it would be a mistake to lose Power’s experience for a less proven driver. With only two races left this season and few options for Power to go to, Penske needs to decide soon if they will keep him or not.

SVG sparks NASCAR road course concerns

Shane van Gisbergen is winning a lot of NASCAR races on road courses this year, with four wins in a row. He is a rookie but already making a big impact, which is very rare in NASCAR. Some people, like Jeff Gluck from The Athletic, want fewer road courses because Van Gisbergen is winning too much on them. Even though he needs to do better on oval tracks, Van Gisbergen just signed a new multi-year contract with Trackhouse Racing and will keep racing strong.

How M&Ms inspired Neil Verhagen’s path to pro racing

When Neil Verhagen was 7, he loved Kyle Busch’s M&M's NASCAR car, and his dad gave him a go-kart to start racing for fun. Over 17 years, what started as a game became serious, and now Neil races and wins in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. He drives full-time for Paul Miller Racing and learns a lot from his team and experienced teammates. His racing journey began with simple karting and grew because of his early love for that colorful M&M's car.
