Cardile cleared to join Aston Martin

Enrico Cardile is finally joining Aston Martin as their new Chief Technical Officer after a long delay. Ferrari had stopped him from starting earlier by forcing him to take a 12-month break before joining a rival team. This caused problems between the two teams and led to lawyers getting involved. Now the issue is settled, and Cardile can start working with Aston Martin as they prepare for the 2026 rule changes.

Lamborghini pulls the plug on SC63

Lamborghini will cease racing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship next season and put its SC63 LMDh project on hold due to high costs and a new plan for its motorsport activities. The company said it didn’t expect the project to be so expensive and couldn’t find a new partner after ending its deal with Iron Lynx. Lamborghini will still race in the final two IMSA endurance events this year with Riley Motorsports. After that, it will focus on its new Temerario GT3 car and a one-make racing series planned for 2027 but may explore other racing opportunities in the future.
