Why keeping Vasseur could pay off for Ferrari
Vasseur is staying on as Ferrari’s boss, as the team extends his contract despite earlier rumors. Ferrari hasn’t won a title since 2007, but both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have strongly supported Vasseur and believe he is the right person for the job. There were rumors that Ferrari wanted Christian Horner, but the team decided to stick with Vasseur, who had earlier called the reports against him unfair. With big rule changes coming in 2026, Ferrari wants to keep things steady and hopes Vasseur can lead them to success.

Kaulig drops Josh Williams mid-season
Kaulig Racing has removed Josh Williams from the No. 11 car in the middle of the NASCAR Xfinity season. Carson Hocevar will drive at Iowa this weekend, and the team will use different drivers for the rest of the year. Williams has made 240 Xfinity starts but has never finished in the top five, and he also dealt with health problems earlier this season. He became widely known after defying NASCAR’s orders and parking his car on the frontstretch at Atlanta in 2023.

Zak Brown brings F1 playbook to IndyCar
Zak Brown is using the same plan that helped McLaren succeed in Formula 1 to improve their INDYCAR team, even though INDYCAR has stricter rules. He made big changes by hiring Tony Kanaan to run the team, signing drivers like Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel, and bringing in Kyle Moyer as competition director. After dealing with problems like driver changes and a legal fight with Alex Palou, the team is now doing better, O’Ward has two wins, and Lundgaard is in the top five. Brown believes they have the right people and tools but says they need more time to grow as a team and expects things to come together fully by 2027.

Bottas takes delivery of £1.5m Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
Valtteri Bottas picked up a rare £1.5 million Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale in Monaco, a car he helped develop through his close connection with the brand. Only 33 of these cars were made by hand, as a tribute to the 1967 version, and all of them have already been sold. The car has a powerful twin-turbo V6 engine, goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3 seconds, and features butterfly doors and a stylish design. Bottas, who also owns other expensive cars, said the 33 Stradale feels easy to drive, fun, and almost perfect.

Aston Martin Valkyrie returns to Road America
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is entering the final part of its first IMSA season and will race this weekend at Road America. It already has five top-10 finishes, and drivers Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis hope to add another strong result. The Valkyrie is the only hypercar racing in both IMSA and the World Endurance Championship, using a V12 engine limited to 680bhp. The team has improved all season, and the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will also race at Road America, where it won in 2023.
